DIPAS - Digital Participation System

DIPAS brings citizen participation and digitization together by offering a system for both digital online participation as well as on-site participation.The tool enables citizens to submit georeferenced feedback, receive information and exchange ideas with others. Hence, citizens can access information easier, and institutions are able to evaluate the data faster. Any user can leave comments on an interactive map of Hamburg both online and on-site during events, using customized touch table interfaces.Hamburg’s Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, its Agency for Geoinformation and Surveying (LGV) as well as the CityScienceLab at HafenCity University Hamburg (HCU) collaborate on this project. DIPAS is developed as an open-source project and thus available for other cities and institutions.
